What happened
Delta is selling SkyMiles at 2.51 cents each through September 30, 2026. The price reflects a 50% purchase bonus, a discount the airline rarely puts on bought miles.
Members in eligible points of sale can buy 2,000 to 60,000 miles per transaction in 2,000-mile increments on Delta's website. An account may receive only 60,000 purchased miles in a calendar year before bonus miles. Transactions bill in U.S. dollars. The miles work on any SkyMiles award.
Purchases are non-refundable and do not count toward Medallion or Million Miler status. Some countries cannot buy miles at all. At 2.51 cents the miles remain expensive for a currency that often redeems poorly, so they mainly serve as a small top-up on a partner business-class award.
Pass unless a specific partner award already needs a modest top-up.
