What happened
Korean Air will move existing Asiana tickets onto KE flight numbers in stages from 2 November to 3 December 2026, for travel on or after 17 December 2026. The Asiana brand is due to disappear that day, which is also when the combined airline launches. Asiana is set to leave Star Alliance around the same handover.
Ticketed passengers will be notified individually and sent an updated itinerary and e-ticket. Korean Air has published an integration FAQ on its website and app. The airline says the phased switch is to keep systems stable and reduce disruption. Korean Air has not confirmed whether the replacement tickets will be issued on KE stock. Anyone with Asiana tickets for travel on or after 17 December 2026 should watch for the reissue notice and check the integration FAQ.
