What happened
One Mile at a Time reports that a Star Alliance lounge is slated for Asiana's Business Lounge West in Incheon Terminal 1 in the second half of December 2026, with a direct handover and no closure. Asiana leaves Star Alliance on 17 December 2026 after Korean Air's takeover. The two carriers have already moved into Terminal 2, while Star Alliance flights had still used the old Terminal 1 lounges.
The lounge will serve 14 Star Alliance airlines at Incheon, connecting to 29 destinations worldwide. Entry follows ordinary Star Alliance lounge rules for Gold and premium-cabin passengers. One Mile at a Time expects a rebranded Asiana space rather than a purpose-built lounge, with little design upgrade at opening. It would be the alliance's seventh branded lounge.
The room has long been in Priority Pass, but access is uncertain because no existing Star Alliance lounge is in that program. Treat late December 2026 as a continuity rebrand and watch whether Priority Pass access continues.
