Live and Let's Fly reports Delta will end LGA-Tulsa on November 6 and JFK-Milwaukee on December 18, with Las Vegas-Orange County and Las Vegas-San Diego both finishing November 8. Frontier will leave JFK after its last Atlanta flight on October 5, 2026.
Frontier entered JFK in 2024 and had shrunk to Atlanta only by February 2026. The post argues that exit should help Delta's pricing power, yet Delta is still cutting rather than filling the void and is not rushing to replace Frontier's dropped JFK capacity. Delta ended JFK-Brussels in January 2026 after 34 years. The post frames added JFK flying to Malta and Olbia for summer 2026 as refining a high-cost premium gateway, not abandoning JFK. United is the carrier to watch if commercially useful JFK access appears. Frontier's operating rights may not become a tidy set of slots another airline can buy.
JFK flyers lose Delta award and cash options on those spokes even as ultra-low-cost competition disappears.
Use remaining scheduled flights on the dropped routes before they end, and watch whether United picks up any of Frontier's JFK access.
