What happened
Air Canada will close the Signature Suite at Toronto Pearson International Airport on September 30, 2026 for an expansion of the lounge that opened in 2017 and will issue guest passes valid through December 31, 2028 to eligible customers after the expanded suite opens in early 2027. Signature Suite-eligible customers traveling during the closure get priority access to the international Maple Leaf Lounge through a dedicated queue. A temporary grab-and-go food and drink pop-up will operate near gate E85. Eligible travelers are to be notified in advance, with concierge staff and airport signage directing them.
The international Maple Leaf Lounge will not match the Signature Suite and is expected to be crowded. Grab-and-go food near gate E85 is not a sit-down meal. Signature Suite access is ordinarily limited to certain paid long-haul Signature Class fares and specific Aeroplan Latitude awards. A guest is usually not allowed. That guest pass can be used even in economy on an international Air Canada departure.
If a Toronto trip during the closure comes with Signature Suite access, plan on the international Maple Leaf Lounge and save the guest pass for a later international Air Canada flight.
