What happened
American Express will open a roughly 6,000-square-foot Centurion Lounge between Concourse E and F at Amsterdam Schiphol on September 17, 2026. It is the 33rd lounge in the global network and the first in continental Europe. The space sits in the non-Schengen zone, so it only serves that side of the airport. It is open daily from 6 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.
The design uses floor-to-ceiling windows and Dutch-inspired colors, with works by local artists. A Blue Roast barista bar is the 4th such coffee setup in the Centurion network. There is a full bar and a buffet of seasonal Dutch and regional dishes. Private restrooms and a phone booth are included. There are no showers. The lounge is among the smallest in the network, so crowding is expected.
Schiphol otherwise has few lounges, including 2 busy Aspire Priority Pass rooms, which is likely to drive heavy demand. From September 17, 2026, use it when transiting the non-Schengen side with Centurion Lounge access, and expect crowds.
