What happened
American Express is targeting some cardholders with a $50 statement credit for $250 or more spent at eligible IHG hotels from November 6 through December 31, 2026. The $250 minimum can run across more than one charge and pays as much as 20% back. The offer has to be added in Amex Offers to count.
Direct bookings with IHG are required. Gift cards do not qualify. Purchases of IHG One Rewards points are ineligible, as are stays partly paid with those points. Some IHG properties are excluded. Eligible hotels are in select countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
The credit works alongside IHG promotions, including the chain's global One Rewards offers. Many properties will split payment, so $250 can go on the Amex and the remainder on a card that earns more on hotels.
Register the offer if it appears, then charge at least $250 of a direct eligible IHG stay to that card by December 31, 2026.
