What happened
Canadian American Express Platinum and Business Platinum basic cardmembers can enrol in complimentary ALL Accor Gold, a mid-tier that normally takes 30 nights or 7,000 Status points. Supplementary cardmembers are not eligible.
Enrolment is live on the Card Benefits page and tagged as required. A free ALL Accor membership number is needed first, and the name on that profile must match the name Amex sends. Status remains for as long as the eligible Platinum card stays in good standing, with no stay requirement.
Gold includes a 48% bonus on Reward points, raising most brands from 25 points per €10 to 37 points per €10, a 7.4% return in points. A one-category upgrade is included when available. The status deposits no Status nights or points, so it does not progress toward Platinum. Benefits are not honoured on OTA or tour-operator bookings, including Amex Travel Online. Fine Hotels + Resorts stays are excluded as well. Fairmont Gold lounge access is a Diamond benefit and is not included. In Canada, Gold does not include executive lounge access or free breakfast.
