What happened
Air Canada is paying Aeroplan members 5 bonus miles per CAD of base fare and carrier surcharges on new economy bookings from 26 August 2026 through 3 September 2026 for worldwide travel from 1 to 30 November 2026.
The bonus applies to paid economy fares above Basic on flights Air Canada operates, including Rouge and Express. Award tickets and points-plus-cash do not qualify. Changing an older booking to November dates does not either. Only base fare and carrier surcharges count. The bonus does not stack with other offers and does not apply on top of the elite earning multiplier. On 1,000 CAD of fare and surcharges the terms show 5,000 bonus miles plus 1,000 base miles, or 6,000 Aeroplan points in total.
Aeroplan members in good standing who book at least one eligible one-way trip qualify, and every member on the same booking earns the bonus if they travel. The 5 bonus miles per CAD beat Air Canada's typical double-miles promotions, though non-elite members still earn a weak base before the bonus.
Book by 3 September 2026 only if November 2026 Air Canada economy travel is already needed.
