What happened
Frontier immediately cut Elite Diamond for 2027 to 75,000 elite status points earned in 2026, down from 100,000. Silver and Gold stay at 10,000 and 20,000 for 2026, then rise to 15,000 and 25,000 on Jan. 1, 2027. Platinum stays at 50,000.
In 2027, elites who buy Economy or Premium bundles can move into UpFront Plus or first class on a space-available basis, 18 hours out at Platinum and 24 hours at Diamond. Platinum and Diamond checked bags go from 40 to 50 pounds. Unlimited Platinum companion travel becomes two certificates. Milestone rewards will layer onto status benefits, with details due later in 2026.
Basic-fare mileage earning drops on Sept. 1 at every tier. Noncardholders fall from 10 miles per dollar to 1 at the member level and from 20 to 11 at Diamond. Frontier Airlines World Mastercard holders keep a higher basic-fare rate than noncardholders but still earn less than today, 9 miles per dollar at the member tier.
Earn 75,000 elite points in 2026 if Diamond is in reach, or add the cobranded card before Sept. 1 if basic fares are the usual buy.
