What happened
United Airlines is dropping Premier Qualifying Flights from 2027 MileagePlus Premier qualification and raising the 1K PQP-only requirement 14%. PQP-only qualification levels for Silver through Platinum do not change.
The mixed PQF and PQP route to 1K is gone, and the remaining PQP-only 1K bar is 46% higher than that old combination. United is keeping a 5% PQP boost in 2027 based on 2026 status. Starter PQPs range from 300 at Premier Silver to 1,600 at Premier 1K.
