What happened
Southwest will fly 11 new and returning routes from June 3 through August 2, 2027, including first-time Nashville service to Providenciales and weekend Austin flights to Liberia in Costa Rica. The carrier called the summer 2027 timetable its largest ever.
Austin also adds weekend flights to Nassau and Punta Cana, with domestic service to Portland, Sarasota, Savannah and Bozeman. Nashville will fly for the first time to Boise and Nassau. San Diego gets seasonal Sunday flights to Oklahoma City. Several of the new routes run only on weekends or on seasonal Sundays rather than daily. Seasonal 2026 flying from Nashville to Bozeman and from San Diego to Bozeman is coming back, along with San Diego service to Pittsburgh and Columbus.
Austin is expected to see around 143 departures on peak days, while Nashville could reach as many as 220 daily flights next summer.
Watch for these June through August 2027 flights to open for sale if Costa Rica or the Caribbean from Austin or Nashville is the goal.
