What happened
Chase is offering 80,000 Rapid Rewards points on the Southwest Plus personal card after $1,000 in purchases in the first 3 months from account opening, through December 2, 2026. Premier pays 85,000 points after $2,000. Priority pays 90,000 points after $3,000 within 3 months of opening. The offers are public on the consumer cards and Chase 5/24 applies. An 80,000-point Plus offer has also gone out as a targeted email.
First-year annual fees are not waived. The Plus fee is $99. The Premier fee is $149. The Priority fee is $229.
Approval by December 2, 2026 lets the signup bonus count toward Companion Pass through 2027 even if spend posts in January 2027. Southwest cardholders receive a 10,000-point boost toward Companion Pass in 2026. Supplemental points toward Companion Pass must post by the end of 2026. From 2027, signup bonuses will not count toward Companion Pass. A Companion Pass earned now is valid only through 2027 with no extension into 2028.
Apply by December 2, 2026 so the signup bonus still counts toward Companion Pass through 2027.
