New SkyTeam Lounge Opens in Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3

SkyTeam has officially opened its new branded lounge in Frankfurt Airport's new Terminal 3, located in the non-Schengen area on level four. Described as the alliance's "flagship" European lounge, the 550-square-meter (5,920 sq ft) facility seats 126 guests and serves passengers departing on non-Schengen flights operated by SkyTeam members including Delta, Korean Air, China Airlines, China Eastern, Middle East Airlines, Saudia, and Vietnam Airlines. Access is granted to SkyTeam Elite Plus members and first/business class passengers, opening three hours prior to departure. Amenities include panoramic airfield views, showers, high-speed internet, a soundproof phone booth, a relaxation area, and a VIP space. Dining features a live cooking area with a digital QR-code menu for locally sourced and regional dishes, alongside German beers and wines. This new branded lounge replaces the previous contract lounge used by non-Schengen SkyTeam passengers in Terminal 2. It is noted as an improvement over the old facility, though the alliance's branded lounges are generally considered basic. Schengen passengers will instead access the new Air France Lounge, expected to open in the coming months. The lounge joins SkyTeam's other branded locations in Dubai, Santiago, Sydney, and Vancouver, plus a joint lounge in Sao Paulo
