What happened
IHG One Rewards has launched a new bonus points promotion valid for qualifying stays between May 20 and August 31, 2026. Members must register before their first qualifying stay and choose one of two paths: earn 2,000 bonus points for every two nights stayed, or 8,000 bonus points for every four nights stayed. There is no cap on total bonus points. The 2,000-point path is optimal for stays of three nights or fewer, while the 8,000-point path is better for four or more nights. Qualifying stays are one night or longer booked at a qualifying rate for more than $30 per night. Reward nights, points-and-cash stays, and OTA bookings are excluded. Bonus points do not count toward elite status
