What happened
Delta Air Lines will stop Las Vegas to San Diego and Las Vegas to John Wayne service on November 8 and LaGuardia to Tulsa on November 9, with Saturday-only JFK to Palm Springs and JFK to Milwaukee both ending December 19. The 5 routes serve 7 cities and run between early November and mid-December.
Delta tied a smaller Las Vegas winter schedule to weaker demand. Cirium puts Delta winter departures from Harry Reid down 7% year over year, matching a 7% drop in total airport flights in 2026. Visitors to Las Vegas fell 7.5% last year versus 2024. Some Las Vegas flights to San Diego and Orange County are slated only for early January around CES. Delta keeps 4 daily round-trips between LaGuardia and Milwaukee.
Cash and SkyMiles itineraries on the lost New York and Southern California to Las Vegas nonstops will need new routings. Delta will contact customers already booked on the dropped flights. Ticket holders on the 5 routes should watch for that outreach or move to remaining flights such as LaGuardia to Milwaukee.
