Amex 25% Flying Blue transfer bonus ended June 30, 2026

Expired

What happened

Membership Rewards transfers to Air France-KLM Flying Blue paid 1,250 miles per 1,000 points through 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time on June 30, 2026.

The 25% bonus applied only for existing Flying Blue members. Transfers had to fall between 1,000 and 999,000 Membership Rewards points and usually posted immediately, though American Express said to allow up to 48 hours. Miles could not be moved back to Membership Rewards. A transfer did not count as qualifying activity, so Flying Blue miles still expire after 24 months of inactivity.

With Flying Blue Promo Rewards, a 45,000-mile business award cost 36,000 Amex points. An 18,750-mile economy award to Europe cost 15,000 Amex points. Standard Air France or KLM business class from North America to Europe at 60,000 miles cost 48,000 Amex points.

Do not park leftover Amex points in Flying Blue without a redemption planned within 24 months.
