German Amex Platinum swaps Lufthansa lounges for 6 20-euro credits

What happened

American Express Germany launched Lounge on the Go on October 1, 2026, with 6 food-and-beverage credits of 20 euros for Platinum cardholders at listed Frankfurt and Munich airport vendors as Lufthansa lounge access ended.

Holders can use only one credit per calendar day, and only at participating vendors Amex has published. Every listed Frankfurt outlet is in Terminal 1, spanning Schengen and non-Schengen, with nothing in Terminal 2. Munich has a longer roster covering Terminal 2 plus the satellite, with some premium restaurants on it. At least one Munich partner sits in a public area, so a credit may work without a departing flight.

German Platinum holders who used the card for Lufthansa lounges are left with dining credits at a limited set of outlets. Check the listed vendors at Frankfurt and Munich and plan on one 20-euro credit per day rather than lounge access.
