What happened
As of 18 September 2025, the Amex app shows how busy a U.S. Centurion Lounge is at that moment and lets eligible cardholders join the queue before they reach the door. Once called, cardholders have 10 minutes to check in.
The waitlist sits under Membership then Airport Lounge Access and appears only for cards that include Centurion access, such as the Platinum Card. Cardholders can join while still in security or after a connecting flight. Joining asks for a flight number or a skip-until-the-desk option. A same-day boarding pass and government ID are still required. Access is only within three hours of departure at the origin or a connection.
The digital queue does not ease crowding once inside. AwardWallet Blog says the tool is showing up at U.S. Centurion Lounges and that international locations may be left out, as those rooms are typically less crowded. Capital One's waitlist check-in window is 15 minutes.
Join the queue in the Amex app before arriving at a U.S. Centurion Lounge and check in within 10 minutes of being called.
