What happened
American Express is paying a 20% bonus on Membership Rewards transfers to Aeromexico Rewards through October 30, 2026. Transfers usually credit 1.6 Aeromexico points per Membership Rewards point. The bonus takes that to 1.92 Aeromexico points per Membership Rewards point.
Frequent Miler finds Aeromexico awards often uncompetitive and rates the near 2-to-1 headline as weak. The award chart is generally uncompetitive, which keeps the boosted 1:1.92 rate from being a strong use of Membership Rewards.
Transfer only if Aeromexico points are already needed for a booking. Otherwise skip the bonus.
