What happened
A targeted Amex Offer is paying 4 extra Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar at U.S. supermarkets through January 31, 2027 for some Marriott American Express cardholders who enroll. The extra points apply to in-store and online supermarket purchases on an enrolled eligible card.
Earnings are capped at 5,000 extra Marriott points. There is no public link. Cardholders have to find the offer in Amex Offers and add it themselves. It is unclear whether the offer appears on the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy card, which already earns 4x at grocery.
Doctor of Credit says the extra points may help toward free-night certificate spend but are otherwise weak next to other grocery cards. Enroll if the offer appears on a Marriott Amex used for supermarket spend; skip it when another card already pays more at grocery.
