What happened
American Express is offering selected members 1,350 Marriott Bonvoy points for every 1,000 Membership Rewards transferred through December 10, 2026. The 35% bonus is targeted and is not offered to every member.
The standard ratio is 1,000 Membership Rewards to 1,000 Marriott points. Amex has previously paid 20% to 50% on the same transfer. Doctor of Credit still considers the transfer a poor use of Membership Rewards and says those points remain more valuable than Marriott points even with the bonus.
Confirm the targeted offer in the account and transfer only for a Marriott stay that can be booked now.
