What happened
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club has raised its purchase cap to 400,000 Virgin Points, from a usual yearly limit of 200,000, and will pay a bonus of up to 70% on buy and gift purchases from 1 September through 4 October 2026.
Bonus points credit at purchase and appear within 24 hours. The bonus is 20% from 5,000 points and reaches 70% from 125,000 points. Intermediate steps are 40% from 40,000 and 60% from 80,000. Purchases under 5,000 points earn no bonus. Points cost £15 or $25 per 1,000 plus a one-off £15 or $22 fee per order. Paying in pounds prices each point at 1.19 US cents. Paying in dollars prices each at 1.47 US cents.
Flying Club members can buy or gift during the sale. Buying is blocked when the account balance is zero. A 14-day cooling-off refund applies only if none of the purchased points have been used. Virgin Atlantic-operated awards are dynamically priced, while SkyTeam partner awards still use a fixed chart. Award availability is not guaranteed.
Buy in pounds against a SkyTeam partner award already bookable, and skip any purchase under 5,000 points.
