What happened
Some Capital One cardholders are being offered $1 in statement credit for every $1 spent on qualifying Capital One Offers purchases, capped at $20, through November 5, 2026. The credit comes on top of portal rewards and the miles the card already earns.
Frequent Miler reports the offer as targeted and saw it on a Spark Miles business card, without knowing whether consumer cards qualify. Purchases have to run through Capital One Offers at eligible merchants. Credits stop once the $20 cap is reached, though a purchase that would go over can still receive a partial credit. The credit does not cover taxes or shipping. Returned or reversed amounts earn nothing. Statement credits typically post within 45 days.
In Frequent Miler's example, a $20 5X portal purchase still posted portal miles and the card's 2X miles.
Check email and Capital One Offers before November 5, 2026, then use any match on a portal purchase already planned.
