What happened
Bilt Rewards will convert World of Hyatt transfers at 4 points for 3 for every member starting January 1, 2027, down from 1:1. Transfers will return 750 Hyatt points per 1,000 Bilt points. Card type and elite status do not change the rate, and points earned with neighborhood partners are included.
The 1:1 rate remains available through the rest of 2026. Bilt listed the new ratio on its Hyatt partner page and did not explain the cut. The change matches the 4:3 Hyatt ratio Chase recently set on most Ultimate Rewards cards. After the change, 100,000 Bilt points convert to 75,000 Hyatt points, and a 100,000-point stay would take 134,000 Bilt points, a 34% increase.
Moving points now still leaves them in Hyatt, where award prices have already risen and points can expire. Keep the 1:1 transfer for a Hyatt stay that can be booked in 2026 and otherwise hold the points in Bilt.
