What happened
Lufthansa has launched a pilot stopover program allowing passengers on Singapore and U.S. routes to extend their layover in Munich (MUC) for between 24 hours and seven days. The option is available for all travel classes and can be added during the booking process on lufthansa.com for either the outbound or return journey. While the base fare remains unchanged, additional airport taxes and fees may apply. Integrated partners offer hotel accommodation, rental cars, and leisure activities, which can be added 24 hours after flight booking. The program is initially limited to Munich for these specific regions but is expected to expand to other Lufthansa Group hubs and destinations over the next year
