JetBlue has confirmed the name for its upcoming first-class cabin: BlueFirst. The airline plans to debut domestic-style first-class recliners on planes that do not currently have the Mint cabin, with the rollout expected to begin by the end of 2026. Simultaneously, JetBlue is expanding its 'basic' fare concept to premium cabins. New BlueFirst Basic and EvenMore Basic fares will be introduced, featuring tighter restrictions than standard tickets, including no seat selection, change/cancellation fees, and reduced TrueBlue point earning. JetBlue will operate four cabins: Main, EvenMore, BlueFirst, and Mint. Within these cabins, fares will be categorized as Standard, Flex (fully refundable), or Base. Notably, Mint will not have a base offering, meaning there will be no 'basic business' class. This move follows similar unbundling strategies by Delta and United, signaling a shift in how premium cabin value is structured for frequent flyers
