Porter Airlines Updates Dash 8 Cabins With New Seats and Amenities

Porter Airlines is retrofitting its 29 De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft with new Expliseat TiSeat 2V seats, LED lighting, and improved padding while maintaining the current 2-2 configuration

What happened

Porter Airlines has announced a comprehensive cabin refresh for its De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprop fleet. The airline is installing Expliseat’s TiSeat 2V seats, which feature redesigned cushions, updated tray tables, and integrated device holders, alongside LED mood lighting and new carpeting. The configuration remains unchanged with 78 seats in a 2-2 layout, offering 32 inches of pitch in PorterReserve and 30 inches in PorterClassic. The first aircraft is already in service, with the remaining 28 planes to be retrofitted over the coming months. Porter cites customer feedback regarding seat comfort as the driver for the update, aiming to address complaints about thin padding despite the tight pitch
