What happened
IHG One Rewards has launched a partnership with Air India Maharaja Club that lets members convert points to miles at 5:1 or earn miles from hotel stays, with a triple-miles promotion from 15 September 2026 through the rest of 2026. Stay-based earning is described as matching IHG's other airline partners.
Most hotels credit 2 miles per US dollar. Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites are capped at 1 mile per US dollar. Stored points convert at 5 IHG points per Air India mile. The partnership is open to IHG One Rewards members. Air India joins the program's existing airline conversion partners.
If Air India miles are the target, convert at 5:1 and earn on paid stays during the triple-miles promotion from 15 September through the end of 2026.
