What happened
Members who join or renew paid InterContinental Ambassador from October 18 through December 31, 2026 receive 10,000 IHG One Rewards points after two qualifying nights. Cash renewals also get 15,000 points immediately, capped at 25,000 points for the $225 fee.
Membership can also be bought for 45,000 points and includes Platinum status. New joiners and points-paid renewals earn only the 10,000-point stay bonus. The two nights may be split across participating IHG hotels after the join or renewal date, each at a qualifying rate with more than $30 spend. Award nights and Points & Cash stays do not count. The complimentary Ambassador weekend night can count even if spend falls short of $30.
Royal Ambassador members are excluded, as are complimentary and employee-discount memberships. No registration is required. The bonus can be earned only once and on one eligible room per stay. It can take up to six weeks to post and does not count toward elite status. Stays before join or renewal get no credit.
Renew with cash only when two qualifying nights will be completed by December 31, 2026 and the weekend-night voucher will be used.
