What happened
Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort will now open on December 10, 2026 instead of mid-November, as a 500-room all-inclusive in Puerto Cancun, the first all-inclusive hotel under the Grand Hyatt brand. Grupo Diestra owns the beachfront hotel in a gated community about 25 minutes from Cancun International Airport.
Guestrooms and the 47 suites all come with a private terrace facing the ocean or the marina. The hotel plans 14 food and beverage outlets. Anyone who reserved a room-only rate should get the all-inclusive product when the hotel opens. Whether Hyatt will cover a move to another hotel for delayed bookings remains unclear, and another delay cannot be ruled out.
The Points Guy reports Category E standard rooms at 35,000 to 75,000 World of Hyatt points a night, with cash rates from $382 for one adult or $588 for two. Reserve by September 30 for up to 35% off cash visits of 3 nights or longer from December 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027. Treat November as off the table and wait for a firm December 10, 2026 date on Hyatt's property page before booking winter nights.
