Chase adds 70% to Ultimate Rewards transfers to Marriott to Oct 15

What happened

Chase is paying a 70% bonus on Ultimate Rewards transfers to Marriott Bonvoy from September 15 through October 15, 2026, so 1,000 points become 1,700 Bonvoy points versus the standard 1:1 rate.

The bonus runs from 12:00 a.m. ET on September 15 through 11:59 p.m. ET on October 15. Transfers are typically instant, though some can take up to 7 business days, and Marriott credits the extra points within 7 days after the transfer posts. Conversions are one-way. Award stays can still incur resort or destination fees.

The Points Guy says this matches the richest Chase-to-Marriott bonus it has recorded and is the strongest of 2026. Its September 2026 valuations still put Chase points at 2.05 cents and Bonvoy points at 0.75 cents, leaving a transferred Chase point worth about 1.3 cents. LoyaltyLobby says the rate can help on fifth-night-free awards or unusually good redemptions but is weak for ordinary nights.

Transfer only against a Marriott stay that already beats cash or Chase Travel; otherwise leave Ultimate Rewards unmoved.
