Delta Air Lines is launching service on a new Airbus A321neo aircraft featuring an unprecedented 44 first-class seats, arranged in 11 rows of 2-2 configuration. This premium-heavy configuration is significantly larger than the standard 20 first-class seats found on similar A321neos. The aircraft will operate on West Coast routes from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Originally intended to feature Delta One lie-flat suites, the carrier is using this configuration as a temporary solution while waiting for certification. The cabin will feature standard domestic recliners, hot meals served from an extra galley oven, and enhanced staffing with three flight attendants dedicated to the first-class cabin. This change impacts the product offering for Delta SkyMiles members flying these specific routes
