Delta Ends 3 JFK Routes, Adds New Nonstop to Southwest Florida From Raleigh

Delta permanently discontinues JFK service to Houston, Memphis, and St. Louis, and announces a new nonstop RDU-FMY route starting Nov 21, 2026

What happened

Delta Air Lines has confirmed it is permanently ending service from New York JFK to three cities: Houston (IAH), Memphis (MEM), and St. Louis (STL). These routes had been on hiatus since June 7 with plans to resume in September, but the carrier opted to discontinue them as part of routine network planning. Nonstop service to these cities remains available from LaGuardia (LGA). Additionally, Delta filed for a new nonstop route from Raleigh-Durham (RDU) to Southwest Florida (RSW). Daily flights will begin on November 21, 2026, just before the Thanksgiving travel rush, operated by a Bombardier CRJ-900 regional jet
