What happened
Chase Ultimate Rewards has launched a 30% transfer bonus to Southwest Rapid Rewards, valid from May 15 to June 5, 2026. Points typically transfer at a 1:1 ratio, but during this window, they transfer at 1:1.3. Transfers are instant and can be used an unlimited number of times. This is only the second transfer bonus between these two programs in over five years, following a 20% bonus in October 2020 and a 25% bonus in October 2025. It is the largest bonus percentage offered to date. While Southwest's dynamic pricing has slightly devalued points (averaging closer to 1.1 cents per point recently), the 30% bonus pushes the effective value safely over 1.4 cents per point, making it a worthwhile redemption strategy for frequent Southwest flyers
