What happened
Aeroplan will attach a standing 15% discount on Air Canada flight awards to every Canadian co-branded credit card from January 12, 2027. Bookings through January 11, 2027 already receive that 15% as a limited-time promotion, after which the cut remains on the cards indefinitely.
Hotel redemptions include a free fourth night. Car rentals include a free fourth day. Premium cards extend Maple Leaf Lounge and Café access worldwide with one companion, and priority security covers the cardholder plus up to 8 companions on the same reservation. Those accounts receive $50 in AC Wallet credit on January 15 and $50 on July 15. Core and business cards receive $25 twice a year. Entry-tier cards receive no AC Wallet credits. Those products also omit worldwide lounge access and priority security.
Only the primary cardholder receives the 15% award discount and AC Wallet deposits. The discount replaces unpublished preferred pricing instead of adding to it. Maple Leaf Lounges are sparse beyond North America.
Keep a Canadian Aeroplan card through January 12, 2027 for the standing 15% award discount; premium is the only tier that adds worldwide lounge access and priority security.
