What happened
American Express is keeping the $100–$300 onboard credit per stateroom or suite and 2X Membership Rewards on eligible cruise bookings when the renamed platform goes live on October 22, 2026. The Cruise and Yacht Collection covers 20 cruise and yacht partners. Benefits stay consistent with Cruise Privileges.
Access remains limited to Centurion and Platinum cardholders, consumer or business. Only select sailings of 5 nights or longer qualify, and the primary cardholder must be a named passenger. Complimentary trip planning carries no booking fees. Collection benefits can stack with Amex Travel-exclusive partner offers and public cruise-line deals.
Amex Travel books the trip, which blocks pairing the perks with a package from an independent advisor. Paying cash earns 2X rather than redeeming Membership Rewards, a historically poor use of points on cruises. A $300 credit is small on an expensive luxury yacht suite.
Book qualifying sailings of 5 nights or longer through Amex Travel for the credit and 2X points, and weigh a luxury advisor's full package first on high-end yacht trips.
