What happened
Selected Aeroplan Elite members received an email code that cuts 20,000 points from any redemption of 70,000 points or higher, valid August 4 to 10, 2026. Hotel and car bookings go through the member travel portal. Air Canada Vacations and the eStore use separate codes.
The booking must fall in that window. Travel can be later. Points have to cover the pre-discount total. The travel code can be reused once per reservation across more than 9,000 HotelSavers properties. Some hotel and car rates are excluded, and codes cannot be combined with other promotions including Milestone Benefits. The eStore code is single-use and will not work on Cash + Points orders. Vacations packages are charged in full, with 20,000 points returned after travel. Cancelled Vacations bookings get no rebate.
A 70,000-point hotel stay costs 50,000 after the code, a 28% cut versus 20% off hotels in the last public Redemption Days. An Air Canada eGift Card fell to 51,250 points with the code, or 1.46 cents per point. Two 70,000-point bookings save 40,000 points. Book portal stays of 70,000 points and up before August 10 and split longer trips so each reservation qualifies.
