What happened
Turkish Airlines is selling Miles&Smiles miles from September 2 to 10, 2026 and attaching status miles to single purchases of at least 100,000 miles. The award miles are not discounted. LoyaltyLobby puts the price at about 3 US cents each.
Members who buy 100,000 to 149,999 miles in one transaction receive 5,000 status miles. Buying 150,000 to 199,999 miles credits 10,000 status miles. A 200,000 to 249,999-mile purchase credits 15,000. The top purchase of 250,000 to 500,000 miles credits 20,000. Separate transactions are not added together. Purchases under 100,000 miles earn no status miles. Each member is capped at 500,000 miles bought and 20,000 status miles from the campaign. Status miles post within seven days after the campaign ends and count only toward Miles&Smiles elite status, not as award currency. Turkish Airlines may change the terms or cancel.
Buy only against a status shortfall that can take at least 100,000 miles in one purchase at 3 cents.
