What happened
American Express is offering targeted consumer Platinum Card holders a $50 statement credit after $500 in prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection bookings through Amex Travel by December 31, 2026.
The statement credit posts once. Qualifying spend must be prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection stays booked on AmexTravel.com or the Amex Travel App and paid in USD. One or more purchases can meet the $500 minimum by December 31, 2026. Purchases made through third parties do not qualify. Chat bookings and other travel products are excluded.
Only consumer Platinum accounts that already show the offer in Amex Offers qualify. Doctor of Credit reports some cardholders instead received $80 after $800. The same post says the $50 credit can stack with Platinum's $300 Fine Hotels + Resorts credit running July through December.
If the offer is on a consumer Platinum, put prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts or Hotel Collection spend on that card by December 31, 2026.
