What happened
New SWISS Business and Senator lounges covering around 2,600 square meters will open in a dedicated building at Zurich Airport in the first quarter of 2027. The Business Lounge will occupy over 1,500 square meters on level two. The Senator Lounge will occupy around 1,100 square meters on level three. They replace the Dock A lounges, including the Alpine Lounge, with around 20% more space.
Dock A, the Schengen area with 33 gates, is getting its first full makeover since 1986 while staying open through 2033. SWISS will lose much of its current lounge space during the work. The new building connects to Dock B, with bus gates directly underneath. The First Lounge is expected to move to Dock B in 2028.
The lounges include 20 fully soundproofed workstations. A wine humidor and a room for aging cheese and cured meats are part of the design. Access is exclusively for premium passengers. SWISS does not plan to shut the building immediately when Dock A work ends.
Watch for the Business and Senator lounges from early 2027 on Zurich connections and for First Lounge relocation around 2028.
