What happened
Star Alliance has officially opened its new lounge at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) in the newly opened Terminal 3. The lounge spans approximately 1,400 square metres with seating for around 245 guests and features a distinctive 700-square-metre outdoor garden, an open-air space rare in airport environments. It is open 24 hours a day. Eligibility includes First and Business class passengers, as well as Star Alliance Gold status customers travelling on member airline flights, irrespective of cabin class, departing from Terminal 3. The lounge is operated by Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Business Travel Service Co. Ltd and reflects Lingnan culture with a tea experience and kapok flower-inspired design. Ten Star Alliance member airlines operate from this terminal, including Air China, ANA, Asiana Airlines, EgyptAir, Ethiopian Airlines, EVA Air, Shenzhen Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, and Turkish Airlines, with 1,500 weekly departures to 52 destinations across 10 countries
