SAS has announced its largest investment in company history, ordering up to 40 Airbus wide-body aircraft to support long-haul fleet renewal and global growth. The order includes a firm purchase of 18 Airbus A330-900neos with options for 10 more, alongside plans to acquire to 12 used A330-300s for near-term capacity. The new neos are expected to arrive in the early 2030s. This expansion aligns with SAS's strategic shift toward a Copenhagen-centric hub model, complementing Air France-KLM's investment and stake increase. The airline currently operates six A350-900s, eight A330-300s, and three A321LRs in its long-haul fleet
