Doctor of Credit's readers report that store-bought Lululemon gift cards stopped triggering the $75 quarterly statement credit on American Express Platinum around October 5, 2026. The merchant appears to have recoded those purchases, which no longer qualify.
Official terms have always excluded gift cards. In-store physical cards still worked after they left the website in March 2026, though denominations were later restricted. A transaction that includes both a gift card and merchandise now credits only the merchandise.
Platinum cardholders who used in-store gift cards for the quarterly credit are limited to ordinary product purchases. Buy regular Lululemon merchandise if the $75 statement credit is the goal.
