Qantas adds 50% Status Credit rollover from 8 December

What happened

Qantas Frequent Flyer will start paying Status Credits for 10 on-ground activities from 8 December, at 10 to 20 each with a yearly maximum of 140 that counts toward Lifetime status. Surplus Status Credits above the retention requirement can roll into the next membership year from the same date, at up to 50%. Silver is capped at 100 Status Credits. Gold is capped at 350 and the Platinum tiers at 500.

Points Club and Green Tier end on 8 December. Members who reach Points Club before then keep its benefits for the rest of the current year. Qantas has not named the credit card that will earn Status Credits on Classic Reward bookings. Jetstar Classic Upgrades will use a fixed Qantas Points price per Business route, with Melbourne to Singapore at 37,000 points and Sydney to Osaka at 45,300.

Easier tier retention ends in early 2027. Silver will need 300 Status Credits to stay, up from 250. Gold moves to 700 from 600 and Platinum to 1,400 from 1,200. Platinum One remains 3,600 Status Credits, with 2,700 required on Qantas-operated flights. Start on-ground earning in December if the 2027 retain rise would drop a tier.
