What happened

Alaska Airlines is bringing a new, elevated lounge experience to Portland International Airport (PDX), officially opening on Thursday, June 4, 2026, following over two years of construction and nearly $18 million in investment. The new Alaska Lounge is located just past the south security checkpoint, serving both B and C concourses. It operates daily from 4:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The space measures approximately 14,000 square feet with more than 230 seats, making it twice the size of the previous lounge in both square footage and capacity. It features a massive six-layer wooden mural of Mount Hood, a bar, a wraparound buffet, and private booths with power outlets and Wi-Fi. With the opening of this new facility, Alaska will shutter its existing Alaska Lounge on Concourse C and the smaller Alaska Express Lounge on Concourse B
