Marriott and ADIB launch UAE Visa cards with 200,000-point bonus

What happened

Marriott Bonvoy and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank launched two cobranded Visa cards in the United Arab Emirates: a Signature card with 50,000 welcome points and an Infinite card with up to 200,000 welcome points. The products join Marriott's existing Emirates NBD Mastercard cobrands and are issued for the UAE market.

The Signature card costs AED 499 a year and earns 3 points per USD at Marriott hotels. Foreign spend earns 2 points per USD and domestic spend earns 1.5. Silver Elite and 10 elite night credits come with the card. Gold Elite follows $15K in annual spend, and renewal pays 35,000 points. Infinite holders pay AED 2,500 a year and earn 8 points per USD at Marriott hotels. Foreign spend earns 5 points per USD and domestic spend earns 3. The card starts at Gold Elite with 15 elite night credits. Platinum Elite follows $25K in annual spend, and renewal includes one free-night award capped at 85K points.

Both cards carry a 3.75% monthly profit rate. Non-AED spend faces a significant FX charge, and ADIB levies a long list of extra fees. Compare fees with Marriott's Emirates NBD Mastercards and pay the balance in full.
