What happened
Converted Aviator Red and Silver accounts, now Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select and Globe cards, lose remaining Barclays carryover perks on October 25, 2026. Those accounts converted on April 24, 2026, and Citi had kept some Aviator benefits running after the switch.
Platinum Select holders lose the anniversary $25 Wi-Fi credit. Globe holders lose 2X AAdvantage miles on car rentals and hotels. A $25 daily food and beverage credit and a $50 anniversary Wi-Fi credit also end for Globe. Globe still earns 1X miles on those purchases after the 2X bonuses disappear. Purchases on or after October 25, 2026 no longer count toward the ending credits or the 2X bonuses.
Both cards can earn an American Airlines companion certificate only once more, through the next cardmembership anniversary. Certificates already in AAdvantage accounts remain valid until their original expiration dates. Globe’s extra loyalty-points benefit of up to 15,000 points can still be earned through February 28, 2027.
Spend leftover Wi-Fi and dining credits before October 25, 2026, then earn the last companion certificate on the next anniversary.
