Lufthansa Makes First Class Double Suite Free and Discounts Second Passenger

Effective July 1, 2026, Lufthansa allows all First Class passengers to select the Allegris double suite for free and offers a 50% discount on the second passenger's fare

Any First Class passenger can select the double suite in advance at no extra cost.
Couples traveling together can receive a 50% discount on the First Class fare for the second passenger. This removes the previous premium monetization strategy, making the hard product significantly more accessible to standard First Class ticket holders

Lufthansa is radically changing how it monetizes its Allegris First Class Suite Plus (the center double-bed seat) on its A350 fleet. Previously, passengers paid a premium fee (~$2,500-3,000) or booked two full fares to secure this seat. Under the new policy effective for bookings made immediately with travel as of July 1, 2026:
