What happened
Alaska Airlines is running its sixth Buy Miles Mystery Sale, with personalized Atmos Rewards bonuses of up to 120% through October 19, 2026. The window opened October 2.
Miles cost $35.00 per 1,000 points plus 7.5% Federal Excise Tax, sold through Points.com. A 100% bonus lands at 1.88 US cents per mile. The 120% rate is 1.71 US cents. Members have to check Alaska's buy-miles page for the personal bonus, because the percentage is not the same for every account. Non-elites may buy or receive 150,000 points in a calendar year. Elites have no annual cap. Each purchase is capped at 100,000 points per transaction. Buys run in 1,000-point steps up to 60,000, or 5,000-point steps to 100,000.
Purchased miles are non-refundable. They do not count as status or milestone points. Check the personal bonus on Alaska's site before October 19 and buy only at 100% or higher.
